CPI/30/7 - Volume flow-rate methods

Vacancy for Water UK member to serve on committee CPI/30/7 which has the responsibility of submitting UK responses to draft standards that are issued by the International Standards Organization (ISO) and the European Committee for Standardization (CEN).

CPI/30/7 is directly responsible for mirroring ISO/TC 30/SC 7 (Volume methods including water meters), CEN/TC 92 (Water meters) and currently CEN/TC 176 (Heat meters).

You should have expertise in these areas to be the Water UK representative on the committee.

Please bear in mind that any representation you undertake will count towards the discount your organisation receives against their contribution to the Water UK standards budget.

The Water UK Standards Board have agreed the following competencies for Standards Representatives:

 •  Significant expertise in their field

 •  Knowledge of industry practice and policy in their field

 •  Ability to agree with other experts by consensus

 •  Understanding of the role of standards in the water sector

 •  Ability to seek the views of experts of other Water UK members

 •  Willingness to be involved in standards work for Water UK
